Lake Summary

Meadow is a small natural environment lake of about 71 acres.  Although small that lake is very deep reaching 72 near the center.  Water quality has been stable  with both total phosphorus and water clarity values just slightly into the mesotrophic category.  During summer months, that lake strongly stratifies and creates an anoxic layer through the lower half of the water column.

There are several residential lots with minimal shoreline alterations.  One campground is present on the east side of the lake which contains approximately 20 boat slips/dock and over 75 campers.  Nutrient loads from stormwater runoff is the primary concern with a large, intensive use development on and small natural environment lake.

2017 Water Quality

2017 data was consistent with the average, 15.5 feet Secchi and 14 ppb total phosphorus. On June 1st water clarity was so high that the calibrated rope on the Secchi needed to be extended from 28 feet to reach the 32.5 feet that was observed.
